DELF Prim
The “Prim” version of the diploma in French language studies (DELF) for children is an official diploma issued by the Ministry of National Education.
There are 3 diplomas that correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1.1, DELF A1 and DELF A2.

This diploma is recognised worldwide and is valid for life.
The DELF for children is, above all, a diploma that recognises language proficiency and encourages language learning. It is also an investment in the future of children.
Target groups
The DELF “Prim” is aimed at all children who are starting to learn French as a foreign language, who are enrolled in education corresponding to primary level and are the correct age to be in school according to the applicable regulation in their country.
The exercises in the “Prim” version include only topics that would interest the youngest age group. This is because the DELF exams evaluate communication skills. A young pupil will be given a context in which they can more easily respond in the “Prim” version; they are thus able to demonstrate all of their competencies to the assessors.
The DELF “Prim” diploma has the same value as the DELF “tout public” and “junior/scolaire” versions of the diploma. The type of exam is not indicated on the diploma.
Levels assessed
The DELF “Prim” is made up of 3 separate diplomas that correspond to the CEFR levels: DELF A1.1, DELF A1, DELF A2.
